Workforce Evolve Accessibility and Inclusion Pilot
October 2025 – March 2026
This Pilot program, led by Business Chamber Queensland in partnership with Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN), provides selected Gladstone Regional Area businesses with tailored support to build a more accessible and inclusive environment for people with disability.
Below is an outline of requirements for successful completion of the Pilot program.

Business Activity
Business Intake Form and onboarding

- Workforce Evolve will manage your introduction to the Pilot and initial onboarding. Workforce Evolve will also be available ongoing to support you through the process by providing regular opportunities for participating businesses to check-in and raise questions, concerns or provide feedback on the Pilot Program.
- The Business Intake Form assists us to better understand your individual business and to gauge existing awareness and understanding of workplace accessibility and inclusion. Data collected will also be used to register your business for the Workforce Evolve program so that you can access the Workforce Evolve portal as well as required modules and content.
Initial Employer Disability Access and Inclusion Health Check

- The Employer Disability Access and Inclusion Health Check is a tool designed to help identify what your business is doing well, and where improvements can be made. This Health Check will support further conversations and engagement with your Inclusion Consultant and informs the development of your tailored Accessibility Action Plan.
- The Health Check takes 30-60 minutes to complete, and your assigned Inclusion Consultant will be available to assist you with this, as needed.
Disability Access and Inclusion Action Plan

- The Action Plan is developed in collaboration with your assigned Inclusion Consultant and is based on the responses and information sourced from your initial Accessibility and Inclusion Health Check and consultation.
- The Action Plan sets out tangible short, medium and long term accessibility and inclusion goals for your individual business.
Workforce Evolve Module 3: Design your Workplace and Workforce

- Module 3 explores strategic workforce planning and design, embraces the benefits of workplace flexibility and champions inclusive recruitment practices
- This Module can be completed at your own pace through the Workforce Evolve portal. Alternatively, you can register via Humanitix to complete the content through a scheduled Teams workshop, hosted by your Workforce Coach. The next Module 3 Teams workshop is scheduled for Thursday 23rd October 2025, 12pm-1:30pm.
Workforce Evolve Module 7: Build an Inclusive Workplace

- Module 7 explores the benefits of building a diverse and inclusive workplace and examines how incorporating accessible and inclusive practices can expand your recruitment options, improve employee retention, and increase your customer base. Resources and tools to help you foster and sustain diversity, inclusion and accessibility policies and practices in the workplace are also shared.
- This Module can be completed at your own pace through the Workforce Evolve portal. Alternatively, you can register via Humanitix to complete the content through a scheduled Teams workshop, hosted by your Workforce Coach. The next Module 7 Teams workshop is scheduled for Thursday 20th November 2025, 12pm-1:30pm.
Inclusion Consultant tailored support

- Your designated inclusion Consultant will work directly with you to address the individual needs identified in your initial Health Check and support you in reaching the goals outlined in your Accessibility Action Plan.
- This support is ongoing through the duration of the Pilot and may include advice, referrals, training and more.
Workforce Coach tailored support (optional)

- Your Workforce Coach is available to provide targeted recruitment and retention advice and support, and to refer you on for specialist assistance as needed.
- Each business can access up to two hours of individual coaching support through the Workforce Evolve program, and bookings can be made through the Workforce Evolve portal.
Concluding Employer Disability Access and Inclusion Health Check

- Performing the Health Check a second time at the end of the Pilot allows us to identify areas of growth and improvement.
Exit Questionnaire/Interview

- The Exit Questionnaire/Interview provides another opportunity to identify areas of individual business growth and challenges. We value your feedback and your time and will also use this opportunity to determine how we can improve the program for future participants.
Completion

- Participating businesses who complete the above activities within the Pilot timeframe will receive a Certificate of Completion and an “Inclusive Aware” digital badge, demonstrating their commitment to creating an accessible and inclusive workplace.
