In the 2024 December quarter, Queensland businesses recorded a third consecutive increase in forward economic confidence, despite persistently challenging operating conditions and historically weak productivity. 

Three quarters of businesses surveyed experienced an increase in their operating costs during the quarter, contributing to an unexpected decline in profitability.
