On Wednesday 18 July, we hosted our annual ecoBiz Leaders Forum in Cairns where local business owners, sustainability experts and our ecoBiz team came together to share practical ways businesses can future-proof operations in a changing climate.
The Forum coincided with the release of the new ecoBiz climate risk and adaptation module, designed to help businesses easily identify climate risks and opportunities, and prepare an action plan to address them.
During the event, we also took the opportunity to congratulate our ecoBiz Star Partners in Far North Queensland, acknowledging their achievements in reducing their energy, water and waste use. Congratulations to Nicola Parker and Neil Parker – Just Bee Design, Alex Van Welderen – First Aid Academy pl, Phil Coulthard – Green Island Resort /Quicksilver Group, James Campos – White Whale Coffee Roasters, Chris Coore, Shelly Ge, and Champika Karunanayaka – City Terraces Apartment, Danielle Erskine – Wellness Embodied Cairns & Cooktown, and Laurie Suzanne Pritchard – Small World Journeys.
