The Australia-United Arab Emirates Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (A-UAECEPA) is expected to enter into force on 1 October 2025.
What you need to do?
If your business is exporting to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), you will need to familiarise yourself with the below provisions of A-UAECEPA if you intend to export Australian goods to the UAE on or after 1 October 2025.
- A-UAECEPA Rules of Origin
- A-UAECEPA Product Specific Rules schedule
- A-UAECEPA Minimum information requirements for Certificates of Origin
- A-UAECEPA Customes procedures and trade facilitation
You will also need to complete the A-UAECEPA Certificate of Origin and send the completed template to Business Chamber Queensland for manual issuance. Electronic issuance will also be available via essCert and CertConnect
Please do not submit A-UAECEPA Certificate of Origin requests before 1 October 2025, as the Free Trade Agreement will not be operational before this date.
