Business Chamber Queensland is proud to support the launch of the 2025 Australian Made Week, celebrating the diversity and strength of Queensland’s local businesses, makers and growers.
Speaking at the 2025 launch at Volvo Trucks in Wacol this morning, CEO Heidi Cooper said Queensland was home to some of the world’s most sought-after products of which local and global markets can’t get enough.
“We are proud to represent the Queensland business community , and there’s never been a better time to highlight what’s happening right here in our backyard,” Ms Cooper said.
“Queensland is home to some of the world’s most recognised and sought-after products and brands. Businesses that are in high demand in both the domestic and international markets are showcasing the value of Australian-made excellence.
“There are thousands of Queensland businesses producing Australian made products in every part of our state – from local food products like honey, strawberries and beef to skincare, homewares and clothing and our thriving manufacturing, building and technology industries – just to name a few.
“Now is the time to support our local producers and suppliers and we encourage everyone to look to local businesses when making purchasing decisions.”
For 157 years, Business Chamber Queensland has represented businesses of every size in every industry and every region of Queensland.
“It is through our work with the Queensland business community that we have seen businesses grow from strength to strength in both the domestic and international markets,” Ms Cooper said.
“International appetite for Australian goods is enormous.
“We support hundreds of businesses to export close to 70,000 shipments annually and through this direct business engagement, we’ve seen an almost doubling of exports to some foreign markets year on year.
“As we prepare to take our place on the world stage in 2032, there is no better time to be championing and celebrating Queensland and Australian made products and the businesses that produce them every day.
“As we look to the 2032 Games, Queensland businesses will have a unique and unparalleled opportunity to show the world the power and potential of Australian-made.
Business Chamber Queensland encourages consumers, businesses, and supply chains to continue supporting local Queensland manufacturers and producers – today, and in the future.
“Let’s show the world what Queensland can do. We’re fortunate to have these incredible products at our fingertips, and together, we can continue to grow and succeed both locally and globally,” Ms Cooper said.
“This is our time to shine. Let’s go for green and gold. Let’s support Australian made and the growing opportunity we have on our doorstep over the next decade and beyond.”
