Managing the risk of Psychosocial Hazards in the Workplace
Join Business Chamber Queensland's masterclass to understand the psychosocial hazards at work Code of Practice from both a theoretical and practical perspective.
The workshop will cover the theory of the Code and the reality of workplace injuries and psychosocial risks that arise. Facilitated by Business Chamber Queensland's Ezra Pyers, you will hear first hand from the Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association and others about the obligations arising from the Code for employers, PCBUs, management and workers.
The workshop will also cover:
- what is a Psychosocial hazard,
- risk assessment and management,
- practical steps for meeting your legal obligations, and
- workplace health and safety injuries, the impact, and the role of the employer.

Ezra Pyers
Senior Workplace Relations Consultant, Business Chamber Queensland
Ezra has significant experience representing employers before the Fair Work Commission and Queensland Human Rights Commission, successfully managing disputes start-to-finish. He also has experience managing claims before the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, Fair Work Ombudsman and advocating member interests to Queensland state parliament. Ezra has spoken on several panels and conducted training across the nation, sharing lived-in industry experiences and practical solutions.
Prior to joining Business Chamber Queensland, Ezra was the Employment Relations Manager with the Queensland Trucking Association, the peak employer association for the Queensland road transport sector. In this role, he also supported Queensland businesses in the bus and waste sectors, advocating for members at both state and national levels.
