Professional mediation services for conflict resolution

Workplace conflict doesn’t have to escalate into staff turnover, lost productivity, or a toxic culture. Workplace mediation is a fast, confidential, and cost-effective way to resolve disputes, rebuild trust, and restore team harmony – before problems grow out of control.

We offer a neutral and professional mediation service designed to help employees and managers navigate conflict constructively and reach sustainable outcomes.

How our workplace mediation service works

Our experienced workplace mediator will attend your workplace (or meet virtually) to facilitate structured conversations in a safe and confidential setting. We guide parties to openly express their concerns and work towards mutual agreement and practical solutions.

Common workplace issues resolved through mediation

  • Employee-to-employee conflict
  • Manager and staff relationship breakdowns
  • Allegations of harassment or bullying
  • Team dysfunction and poor communication
  • Return-to-work or performance-related disputes
  • Hybrid or remote work miscommunication

Our four-step mediation process

  1. Initial consultation: We assess the nature of the conflict to determine if mediation is the right approach.
  2. Confidential pre-mediation interviews: We conduct one-on-one interviews with each participant to understand their perspectives, concerns, and desired outcomes.
  3. Facilitated mediation session: Our moderator will lead a structured, impartial conversation to promote empathy, clarity and resolution. Most sessions take up to four hours.
  4. Optional follow-up support: We check in after the mediation to review outcomes, support implementation or assist with any further issues that arise.

Transparent and affordable pricing

  • Members: $260 per hour* (excl. GST)
  • Non-members: $325 per hour* (excl. GST)

*Additional travel and onsite costs may apply. Online sessions via Microsoft Teams are available.

We’re independent and not-for-profit. We exist to provide practical support to businesses like yours.

This includes confidential employee surveys, targeted interviews, and a detailed review of business practices to uncover risks associated with workload, role clarity, conflict, aggression, or inadequate support.

Tailored risk management plan

Following the assessment, we prepare a detailed, customised risk management plan. Recommendations may include workload management strategies, escalation pathways, grievance and conflict procedures, provision of wellbeing resources, and improvements to leadership and communication practices.

Our specialists review existing policies and deliver improvements that address psychosocial risk factors. We also develop and deliver tailored training for HR teams, leaders, and employees on identifying, responding to, and mitigating psychosocial hazards, helping embed a culture of safety and awareness.

Testimonial
Andrea Herklots and partner

“As a small business, we don’t have an HR department, but we still have to navigate complex HR and IR legislation. We care a lot about our team dynamic and creating a positive and flexible work environment. The Chamber’s HR support has been really valuable in helping us do that. Some members of the Workplace Relations team at the Chamber have given us so much more than we ever expected in terms of support and guidance. I would never hesitate to reach out with questions.”
