Following a successful event in Brisbane, Business Chamber Queensland took our Workplace Relations Conference to Townsville for a half-day event on 2 July 2025.
The stellar speaker line up featured keynote speeches from well-renowned QUT Professor of Work and Regulation, Andrew Stewart who discussed the new employment landscape from a regulatory perspective and Vice President of the Fair Work Commission, Ingrid Asbury who reviewed the impacts of the Closing Loopholes legislation and took a deep dive into recent cases.
They were also joined by workplace forensic expert and McGrathNicol Director, Bronwenn Durand, plus Active HR’s Rhett Stubbs and Gallivanter Travel’s Brittany Swash joined a panel discussion on the new world of work with a local perspective.
Supported by the Townsville Chamber and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, this event was a valuable opportunity to bring together Townsville business leaders and IR professionals to share insights, connect with peers, and gain practical advice on the latest IR reforms.
