Workplace risk assessments

Identify and manage risks in your workplace.

Employment laws and workplace regulations are complex and regularly change. By conducting proactive compliance assessments, you can reduce the risk of breaches which can result in legal, financial and reputational consequences.

Our psychosocial risk assessment services

Psychosocial risks are now a core focus of workplace health and safety regulation in Australia. Businesses have a legal duty under the Work Health and Safety Act to identify, manage, and minimise psychosocial hazards that may contribute to stress, burnout, conflict, and psychological injury. Queensland’s regulations are considered among the most stringent in Australia.

Our psychosocial risk assessment provides businesses with a structured, evidence-based approach to identifying psychosocial hazards and implementing effective control measures. This service strengthens compliance, builds workplace resilience, and enhances employee wellbeing.

What do our psychosocial risk assessments involve?

Our psychosocial risk assessments involve a structured, evidence-based review of workplace practices to identify hazards, manage risk, and strengthen compliance:

01

Comprehensive psychosocial hazard assessment

Using a validated assessment tool, we analyse workplace systems, behaviours, policies, and environmental factors to identify psychosocial hazards. This includes confidential employee surveys, targeted interviews, and a detailed review of business practices to uncover risks associated with workload, role clarity, conflict, aggression, or inadequate support.

02

Tailored risk management plan

Following the assessment, we prepare a detailed, customised risk management plan. Recommendations may include workload management strategies, escalation pathways, grievance and conflict procedures, provision of wellbeing resources, and improvements to leadership and communication practices.

03

Policy and training development

Our specialists review existing policies and deliver improvements that address psychosocial risk factors. We also develop and deliver tailored training for HR teams, leaders, and employees on identifying, responding to, and mitigating psychosocial hazards, helping embed a culture of safety and awareness.

04

Monitoring, review and continuous improvement

We establish a structured review process to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented control measures. Regular monitoring, data collection, and policy updates support continuous improvement and sustained compliance with legislative standards.
