Business and industry leaders came together to explore how Queensland can leverage the global spotlight of Brisbane 2032 to create lasting economic value for businesses, industries and communities across the state. Supported by Australian Retirement Trust, this Business Matters event examined the opportunities presented by increased international attention, including growing visitor numbers, strengthening trade relationships, attracting investment and unlocking long term commercial growth.

Attendees heard from keynote speaker Steven Marshall, President and CEO of the American Australian Association and former South Australian Premier, who shared insights on international engagement, economic opportunity and the enduring legacy potential of Brisbane 2032. The discussion highlighted the importance of turning a once in a generation moment into tangible outcomes that will benefit Queensland businesses well beyond the Games.
