Business Chamber Queensland and Asialink Business have signed a strategic partnership agreement committing to work together to equip more Queensland businesses with the skills and confidence to succeed in Asia’s fast-growing markets.

Queensland’s presence on the world stage is growing, with major global events such as the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, coupled with the state’s strong export performance and international partnerships, creating new opportunities for businesses to connect, compete and thrive globally. This partnership reflects a shared ambition to provide practical tools, insights and training at scale, reaching businesses across the state and ensuring they have the confidence and capability to seize international opportunities.

Through its Member Learning Portal, Business Chamber Queensland members will gain exclusive access to innovative resources on Doing Business in Asia, powered by Asialink Business. This includes a suite of self-paced online courses and market-specific Doing Business Guides, designed to deliver practical knowledge and cultural intelligence in new and accessible ways – helping Queensland businesses build the skills and confidence to thrive in the region.

Building on its 157-year history as Queensland’s largest and most representative business body, Business Chamber Queensland has long supported exporters through trusted trade services and advice including Certificates of Origin. This strategic partnership extends that support, combining Business Chamber Queensland’s expertise with Asialink Business resources to give more businesses the skills, insights and confidence to succeed in global markets.

The partnership also provides Business Chamber Queensland members with exclusive access and discounts to Asialink Business offerings, including the prestigious Asialink Leaders Program – Australia’s premier professional development initiative for Asia engagement. Over time, the collaboration will expand to include joint programs, events and initiatives, enabling more Queensland businesses to develop the skills, insights and networks required for long-term international success.

Business Chamber Queensland CEO Heidi Cooper said the Chamber had been directly supporting businesses to share their goods with the world through expert services for more than 80 years.

“Queensland businesses are ambitious and ready to expand into global markets; especially to capitalise on Asian consumers’ growing demand for Queensland products,” Ms Cooper said.

“This partnership with Asialink Business supports Queensland businesses with the confidence and capability to be industry-ready with a suite of resources and training.

“By providing our members with Asialink Business programs and improving business access to free trade agreements through FTA training, we are ensuring more Queensland businesses can grow their business in Asia.”

Catherine Mudford, Acting CEO of Asialink Business, said:
“Asialink Business is delighted to join forces with Business Chamber Queensland to prepare more Queensland businesses to engage with Asia. Together, we are making practical, scalable resources available across the state – helping businesses build skills, insights and confidence at every stage of their journey. This partnership also reinforces our role as a trusted partner to chambers, peak bodies and industry groups nationally, providing credible, practical Asia capability training and resources that equip Australian businesses for long-term success in Asia.”

This strategic partnership highlights the commitment of both organisations to give Queensland businesses the tools and confidence to succeed internationally.
